Rachel Fäth: Monday Follows Thursday Schedule, excerpt
Rachel Fäth thwarts the conventional use of steel through abstraction. She responds to specific conditions she finds herself in, whether it be the place in which she is producing or showing work. Rachel Fäth (DE, 1991) holds an MFA in Fine Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts Munich (2021), and from Hunter College New York City (2024). Past and upcoming exhibitions include: Zurich Biennale (Zurich), Kevin Space (Vienna), le vite (Milan), Francis Irv (New York), diez (Amsterdam), Shahin Zarinbal (Berlin), Loggia Loggia (Munich)
Doris Guo’s general approach comes out of a desire to capture ambient dispositions toward the social patterns and ritual dimensions of living. Working with a variety of materials and media, the bodies of work she produces often come from a journalistic approach to the feelings and affects of lived experience. Doris Guo (US, 1992) holds a MFA from Oslo National Academy of the Arts (2023) and a BFA from Pratt Institute New York (2014). Past and upcoming exhibitions include: 15Orient (New York), Clementin Seedorf (Cologne), Kunstverein Braunschweig (Braunschweig), Empty Gallery (Hong Kong), VI, VII (Oslo), Veronica, Seattle (Seattle), inge,(New York), Éclair (Berlin), Bodega (New York).
Mathias Toubro moves between the collective and the intimate, working through staged situations as well as painting and video. His practice draws on a broad spectrum of art historical references, film and music, unfolding as a personal exploration of the hidden and often overlooked processes through which art takes form. Mathias Toubro (DK, 1986) holds a MFA from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (2016) and Central Academy of Fine Arts Beijing (2012). Recent exhibitions include: Gammel Strand (Copenhagen), Etablissement d’en Face (Brussels), Damian & the Love Guru (Brussels/Zürich), Lagune Ouest (Copenhagen), Cucina (Copenhagen), Kunstverein Hamburg (Hamburg), Éclair (Berlin), Salon 75 (Frederiksberg).
Pol Wah Tse’s sculptural language utilizes traditional fine art mediums and everyday materials and isolates their proprietary identities in the context of their function. Pol Wah Tse (ES, 1997) holds a BFA from Slade School of Fine Art, London (2020). Past and upcoming exhibitions include: The Keishun-In Temple (Kyo- to), Digestivo (Madrid), Hothouse (London), Fluent (Santander), Final Hot Desert (London).
Mille Qvist works with classical crafting techniques such as weaving, as well as methods usually found in furniture making or industrial production. A central focus of her practice is the encounter between hard, minimalist structures and the synthetic, colourful, shiny, pop-like. These, in turn, are contrasted with the domestic, traditional, and seductive. Mille Qvist (DK, 1998) holds a BFA from University of Fine Arts, Hamburg (2024), and is currently enrolled in as a MFA student at University of Fine Arts, Hamburg. Past and upcoming exhibitions include: Filmladen (Hamburg), Forma (Copenhagen),, Nikolaj Kunsthal (Copenhagen), Christiania Biennale (Copenhagen), MOM Art Space (Hamburg), Frappant Gallery (Hamburg), Kungl. Konsthögskolan (Stockholm), Salon 75 (Frederiksberg).
